The Enticing World of Coffee



There is no mistaking the rich and enticing aroma of coffee. Coffee is not just one particular bean roast in an ordinary way, however. There is much to learn all about coffee. What is a coffee bean exactly? It is the end product that results from coffee berries that grow on coffee trees. These rich beans are then roasted, crushed then brewed to make the perfect cup of coffee. The true trick of making a superior brew comes from the roasting process of the coffee beans.

Before you can roast them for the best brew, you need to be aware of the different types of coffee berries and which berries produce the best beans. Sometimes this is purely left up to taste, not just the quality of the bean. Processing coffee is done with a few different methods, the dry method, the semi-dry method and the wet method. These methods help to obtain the actual beans from the berries.

Once the beans have been extracted, which is actually a long process, they are roasted. In their natural state, the beans are actually green. That does not sound very attractive does it? The roasting process creates a rich dark color that is expected when you see a bean in its natural state. The beans are roasted to certain levels, darkest, dark, medium and light. Now the question is how to grind or not to grind? No matter how you take your coffee, just know that your daily dose not only energizes your morning, but it's also good for your health.

Coffee is a natural antioxidant. Surprisingly enough coffee beans are full of stellar qualities that help remove oxidizing agents from your body. Other beverages contain antioxidants too, but coffee contains more than the rest, hands down. Coffee is also good for your heart. When you drink two to four cups of it a day, you are less likely to suffer from heart disease compared to people who do not drink coffee at all or in small amounts.

Who knew that a cup of Joe a day could help your health? To further prove this statement, coffee is also good for your liver. Two cups every day means that you are helping your body fight against liver cancer as well as cirrhosis of the liver. Just be careful that you do not drink more than the allotted four cups a day. Too much caffeine is bad for your system. All of this coffee information is so enticing and puts pep in your day. Now you can drink the brew knowing the health benefits make the robust flavor even more enjoyable.
